What can we do, if we get off the steam train on the
train station in Bohinj?

The train station is located in Bohinjska Bistrica. Frequent buses to and from Lake Bohinj stop at the bus station in Bohinjska Bistrica (almost each hour).

APPROXIMATE DISTANCES:
Bohinjska Bistrica – Ribčev Laz (Lake of Bohinj) = 6 km
Bohinjska Bistrica – Ukanc = 10 km
Bohinjska Bistrica – Stara Fužina = 8 km

WALKING OR CYCLING (we offer the transport of bicycle by steam train for free!)
- Bohinjska Bistrica river spring at the waterfall Savica - you can go walking or by bicycle towards the lake, then along the lake to Ukanc and then you can climb the 51 m high waterfall (aprox. 2h30 of walking in one way);
- Ajdovski Gradec – aprox. 30 min in one way (aprox. 4 km from the train station);
- Slap Grmečice – aprox. 1 h in one way (aprox. 4 km from the train station);
- Klodičeva cycling path leads from the train station to the lake or Stara Fužina. The path is
well marked;
- Planšarski Museum in Stara Fužina - possibility of tasting of typical local cheese in specialized local restaurant near the museum.

SWIMMING
Swimming is possible in Aqua Park Bohinj, which contains also saunas, wellness center and fitness studio. Aqua park is located in Bohinjska Bistrica, few minutes of walking from the train station. RIDE BY BOAT

ON VOGEL BY CABLE CABIN

HORSE-RIDING
Mrcina ranč, located in the village Studor (aprox. 4 km from Ribčev Laz), offers you numerous tours through the Triglav National Park with Iceland horses. CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL SIGHTS
- Museum of Tomaž Godec in Boh. Bistrica. Tomaž Godec`s birth place houses two permanent exhibitions (Museum collection from year 1977): Usnjarski muzej (Museum of leather) and Mali vojni muzej Soške fronte (Little War Museum of Soča Front) 1915 - 1917. Shortly is also presented a life of previous owner of the house, excellent sport man and national war hero, Tomaž Godec.
